Sanitization of healthcare-related facilities

Why webinars on the sanitization of the healthcare-related facilities?

Sanitization of health centres, and the techniques needed to implement it, were put at the centre of media attention during the COVID-19 pandemic. From here the idea of conducting webinars on the sanitization of health centers started, especially in the light of the increasing difficulty in finding reliable and verified information, typical of this “emergency” period. This difficulty is, unfortunately, present anywhere now, and professionals ask themselves: “What should I do?”. In this article, you will find the appropriate answers to properly sanitize health environments.
But if, on one hand, citizens have understood the importance of maintaining preventive habits and behaviours, what measures can the employee and the employer adopt? It is important to mention the data of the INAIL – unfortunately not positive -, to introduce the issue of the employer responsibility and to quantify the relevance of this topic: the INAIL reports about 47,000 cases of workplace infections, with 208 deaths attributable to this.
But if, on the one hand, the citizen has understood the importance of maintaining preventive habits and behaviour, what tools can the worker and the employer put in place? It is important to mention the data of the INAIL – unfortunately not positive -, to introduce the issue of the responsibility of the employer and to quantify the relevance of the topic: the INAIL reports about 47,000 cases of workplace infections, with 208 deaths attributable to this.

We as Focusmed, manufacturers of the electromedical devices Pronexibus Plus and Rinovacell, we are close to our users who gave us their trust, and for this reason, we have decided to deepen the topic of sanitization in the health field in order to be able to provide valid and practical information to help in the safely restart of their activities.
The INAIL has identified the working environment as a place at risk for COVID-19 infection: the current regulation considers the contraction of COVID-19 in the workplace as an accident. Therefore, the INAIL also assessed and defined the concept of risk in the light of the new knowledge. However, even today we still have many doubts about what need to be done and how.
The health area has a special role: health professionals are the first to offer their expertise to stem the effects and consequences of the COVID-19 epidemic, they also have in mind how much safety is the basis from which to start in the health field, but, at the same time, are well aware that the same health environments (clinics, hospitals and territorial garrisons – RSA) may serve as resonance boxes for several infectious agents.
This is why we have deepened the issue of sanitization with a focus on the health sector with the help of experts in the field. The aim is to present the fundamental concepts to allow everyone to understand and defend themselves from rampant disinformation and to allow professionals, such as physiotherapists, nurses and doctors, to have concrete information about the thing and how to start again.
